It’s two years later, but I’ve finally made a video of my photos from the trip I took to Quebec in the summer of 2008. Better late than never! I did it on Animoto, which takes your pictures and animates them with music. Very cool!
I hope to return to Quebec someday, or perhaps go to Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, where another branch of my family lived…who’s coming with me?

Having worked my way through two or three genealogy software products over the years, I am now trying out a simple software that’s been around for a long time – for good reason. The Personal Ancestral File program (or “PAF”, as it is commonly known) was created by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and is one of the easiest to use programs available. It was also easy to export my family tree from Ancestry.com to a .GED file type, then import that file into PAF.
